Spider Plant – Large Statement Plant in 7 Inch Nursery Bag
The Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is one of India’s most beloved houseplants. In a 7-inch pot, this is a large, lush, mature plant with multiple cascading leaves and actively producing “spiderettes” — ready to be a centrepiece in your home or balcony garden.
🌞 Light: Thrives in bright indirect light. Tolerates low light but grows more vigorously with good light. Avoid direct harsh afternoon sun. East or west-facing windows work best.
💧 Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry — roughly every 7–9 days in summer, every 12–15 days in winter. Larger pots retain moisture longer — always check before watering. RO or filtered water preferred to prevent brown tips.
🪨 Potting & Soil: This 7-inch pot is a large, mature size. Can stay for 1–2 years before needing a 9–10 inch pot. Use well-draining potting soil + vermicompost (4:1). Top-dress with vermicompost every 3–4 months. Spider plants thrive slightly root-bound, so don’t rush to repot.
🏠 Placement: Spectacular in a large hanging basket, on a high shelf, or in a shaded balcony corner. A natural air purifier — great for living rooms and bedrooms.
Difficulty: Very Easy ✅ | Pet safety: Safe for pets and children 🐾 | Air-purifying: Yes
